Junior Engineering is an introduction robotics course for participants new to the RoboThink program. This level introduces students to RoboThink's unique robotics hardware which includes how to use the building system, an introduction into how simple gears work and how basic electronics work. Students are asked to apply STEM concepts that they have learned in unique challenges and apply their own problem solving and critical thinking skills to find solutions.
Engineer 1 and 2 is for advancing students. Students are introduced to more advanced building cells and advanced gear types. Students also learn how to use sensors and use data from sensors to build robots that react to the environment. Lessons introduce more abstract building concepts and intermediate gear ratios. Students also learn coding through RoCode, RoboThink’s intermediate coding education software. Prerequisite: Junior Engineer 1 and 2
